Visionary Arts can be any medium of art that explores or transcends traditional boundaries of culture, spirituality, philosophy or other category of experience. At the same time, and somewhat paradoxically, visionary arts can be grounded in very traditional cultures, though often in a modern and unique way.

Visionary Art often refers to painting or sculpture, but in this context it includes almost any kind of expression, including writing, philosophy, poetry, dance, architecture, or even innovative approaches to education or the social sciences.

In the new millenium, new forms are constantly being created, so definitions and assumptions must always be reformed and questioned. Visionary Arts are a significant part of our liminal new world.
